150 show their skills at Ghana football trials

Passion for Sport’s Africa Development Manager Kwame Asare reports from a special football trials event, organised in collaboration with Cratos Fc and Club Deportivo Isoba in Spain:"

“The event was organized at Kasoa Akweley Astro-Turf in Greater Accra. The trials brought together talented young players aged from 10 to 17, with around 150 taking part, and attracting spectators from a wide area.

“The trials aim to select exceptional players for enrolment into their local academy and also for a clear career pathway to Spain for those who make it into the local academy of Cratos FC.

“Club Deportvo Isoba play in Division 1 in Spain and provide a platform for these players to be scouted and sent to other clubs in Spain. Coaches brought their players and parents their talented kids, and others who are managing individual talents brought them to partake in this trials.

“It’s the first which has been introduced and will be run at regular intervals. People eagerly participated and were interested when the next trials were going to take place.

“We at Passion for Sport want to get involved in impacting and connecting these players and sports fans with the gospel, and to give them the platform where they can share their testimonies as well. “
