Morocco Roars: Pan-African radio coverage set to amplify AFCON 2025

As excitement builds ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco Roars will deliver comprehensive, pan-African radio coverage of the tournament, providing football fans with expert insight, debate and storytelling from the opening build-up to the final whistle.

Coverage launches with a special AFCON preview show releasing this weekend, followed by weekly programmes throughout the tournament, running until the final on 18 January 2026.

The project is designed to serve audiences across Africa and the global diaspora, capturing the passion and significance of the continent’s biggest football event.

The series will be hosted by respected broadcasters Steve Vickers and Piers Edwards, whose combined experience and deep knowledge of African and international football will anchor analysis, discussion and match narratives throughout the competition.

“AFCON is more than a football tournament — it’s a cultural moment for the continent,” said Luke Hamilton, Head of Operations at Passion For Sport. “With Morocco Roars, we’re creating a shared audio experience that brings expert analysis and authentic African football conversation to fans everywhere.”

Morocco Roars is proudly sponsored by Diaspora Insurance, whose partnership reflects a commitment to supporting initiatives that connect African communities at home and abroad.
